20 Gold Medalists in UKMT’s National Maths Challenge

Mathematicians from Year 9, 10 & 11 recorded a fantastic haul of 20 gold medals in UKMT’s National Intermediate Maths Challenge.  14 of our gold medalists also qualified for the prestigious Kangaroo Round of the Challenge, which tests students’ mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and skill in using mathematical techniques.

We are proud that 219 students across the three-year groups decided to challenge themselves against the best Mathematicians across the county in this Competition.   Special mentions go to Alston Au who recorded the best result in Year 9, Bornini Das who was the highest scorer in Year 10 and Sabeshan Sukunthan who was Year 11’s highest scorer.

We wish the students who qualified for the next round of the Challenge every success.  They are:
