England Badminton Star guests at Sports Ceremony  

We held a fantastic Sports Awards Ceremony recently, our first celebration of sporting achievement with family and friends since 2019.  Over 150 awards were given out on the night including Full and Half Colours for students who have demonstrated the highest levels of talent and commitment when representing our sports teams.  Also given out on the night were PE and Dance Curriculum Awards, ‘Players Player of the Year’ awards, as voted by their teammates and awards from our successful Football Academy.  

The evening was made even more special by former student, Callum Hemming, who is now a Senior England Badminton player coming back to help host the event.  Callum who has been selected for Team England in the Commonwealth Games this summer, took time out of his training schedule to present the awards, take part in a lively ‘Q&A’ session with our students and demonstrate his badminton skills alongside our very own Mr Stewart!

It was a memorable evening made all the more special as we haven’t been able to celebrate our sporting achievement and participation together for such a long time.
