Brunel House is Sports Week Winner
We had a fantastic Sports Week recently with hundreds of students competing and representing their House with great pride.
During the week each year group had a morning of team events where they competed in Benchball, Dodgeball, Football, Handball and Rounders. Then on Friday, the whole school came together for the Athletics events, either competing or supporting students representing their House. 303 students took part in athletics day over 344 events with four school records broken on the day.
Brunel House was the overall winner of Sports week, winning three of the four team events and then coming third in the Athletics on Friday.
Matt Linbourne, Head of PE said: ‘We had a wonderful week of sporting competition, and the weather was kind to us! The enthusiasm of our students to compete and represent their House was great to see. It was a special week for the PE Faculty with our Sports Awards Ceremony also back for the first time since 2019. Thank you to all the students and staff involved who helped make Sports Week such a success.’
