Return of the Celebration of Success Ceremony
It was fantastic to once again be able to hold our Celebration of Success Ceremony, the highlight of our annual awards programme. It was a memorable evening with students being rewarded for academic achievement and progress in this year’s GCSE and A Levels as well as contributions made to the school community and achievement through the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
We had three special guests join us for the evening. Godwin Sosi, a former student who has gone on to find success in the Insurance Industry where he has founded the African Caribbean Insurance Network (ACIN), presented awards, and spoke to students about his journey since leaving Denbigh.
Bruce Hawthorne presented our school community award – the Lucy Hawthorne Citizenship Award on behalf of his family and Marie Denny, Head of Education at MK Council presented the inaugural ‘Andy Squires Science Award’ which has been funded by Councillor Zoe Nolan, the Cabinet Member for Children and Families at MK Council in memory of Andy Squires who died in January of this year.
It was wonderful to be able to celebrate our talented and hardworking students with their families.
