Holocaust Ambassadors represent all MK Students
Two of our Student Holocaust Ambassadors represented the students of Milton Keynes at the MK Rose Holocaust Memorial Day Service held in January. Lolomae and Jessica gave a reading and discussed their experience of ‘The Lessons from Auschwitz’ course with the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire. They were accompanied by Mrs Rowe from our Humanities Faculty who supports our students in their work as Holocaust Ambassadors.
Lolomae and Jessica are two of six Sixth Form Holocaust Ambassadors. They along with fellow Year 13 students, Tamara and Hannah-Lee have worked tirelessly to share the knowledge gained on the ‘Lessons from Auschwitz’ course with our school community.
Our newly appointed Year 12 ambassadors, Carrera and Bushra, are about to begin their course, which includes a visit to Auschwitz- Birkenau in a few weeks. Four of our Humanities teachers are also spending some of their half term visiting the concentration camp as they look to build their expertise within the Faculty.
