Year 8 Life Skills Workshop focuses on Danger of Drugs & Alcohol

Year 8 students took part in a life skills workshop aimed at increasing their awareness of the dangers of drugs and alcohol during our Autumn Term Enrichment Day.   The Workshop was led by KIP Education whose ethos is ‘Knowledge is Power’.  They aim to give young people the knowledge they need to cope with the realities of today’s society.  The students engaged well  with this impactful life skills workshop.

This Workshop was part of our Enrichment Day programme when students come off timetable for one day every term to learn about aspects of life and community beyond the traditional curriculum.  For Years 7 to 10 this will involve either joining a trip to a national visitor attraction or participating in sessions in-school focused on developing key life skills, led by external experts.   Year 11 and Year 13 students take part in focused preparation sessions for their forthcoming GCSEs and A Levels.
