Art for Wellbeing Project – Bob the Scarecrow
We are always looking for innovative ways to support our students’ wellbeing. One project we are running at the moment is an ‘Art for Wellbeing’ course led by Carolyn Boddy, a pastoral mentor. This course runs for up to six students for six weeks. The aim of the course is to encourage students to express themselves through art, to help make friends and to have a sense of community.
One project the students have been working towards recently is the Loughton Scarecrow Festival. They have made a scarecrow, named Bob and he is being placed third in line in the churchyard at All Saints church ready for judging from the 17th to the 26th of June. The students had great fun making him and are looking forward to seeing the other crows!
