Conservation Ecologist focuses on butterflies in STEM lecture

Bradley Neal a conservation ecologist, researcher, and lecturer from the Open University gave the second talk in our 2022 STEM Lecture Programme focusing on the conservation of woodland butterflies in Milton Keynes.

Bradley is studying the conservation of urban woodland butterflies in Milton Keynes and how they are being impacted as their woodland habitat is continually enclosed by urbanisation. His fascinating talk was the second in the series of seven on-line lectures planned for 2022, led by top academics and STEM ambassadors from across the country. Following the success of last year’s first ever on-line programme we are using this format again for 2022. This allows us to keep people safe and to reach even more people than we did previously with the in-person lectures. Everyone can watch the video link at a time that suits them. The next talk in the 2022 Programme will be by Victoria Fawcett a STEM Ambassador from Durham University who will focus on ‘monster black holes’ . This will be available to view from 26th January.
