Cross Country Championships

Denbigh’s PE staff and Football Academy helpers organised and ran the very successful MK Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships at Campbell Park this year.  335 runners took part from 14 schools across Milton Keynes. 

Denbigh entered teams drawn from Year 7 through to Year 11 and they were all a credit to the school.  Highlights included the Year 8 & 9 Boys winning their team category and two individual second places for Morgan Bunn in the Year 7 race and Maxwell Newman in the Year 8 & 9 race.

Matt Linbourne, Head of the PE Faculty said: ‘Organising an event of this size is quite a challenge, but my faculty colleagues rose to the challenge and the event was a great success.  The sun shone and it was perfect conditions for running cross country.   We are very grateful to our helpers from the Denbigh Football Academy who made a massive contribution on the day.  It was wonderful to see students from so many schools across MK coming together to take part in this competition.’
