Denbigh Celebrates its Cultural Diversity
Our first ever Year 7 to 11 Denbigh Cultures Day was a huge success. Last Friday’s event saw the school full of students wearing clothes that are representative of their culture and heritage. It was a wonderful celebration of the cultural diversity we have at Denbigh School.
Our Sixth Form Council came up with the idea of a Cultures Day earlier this year and their event was so popular that the main School Council wanted to make it part of the Year 7 to 11 calendar as well. The event showed that our cultural diversity is a strength that enriches the Denbigh community. It also showed that while we may have different beliefs, our values are the same; to be kind and respectful, to do no harm, and to be engaged.
A huge thank you to the School Council who planned the day and to the Sixth Form Council for the inspiration. We look forward to it becoming an annual highlight of our school calendar.
