Inspirational Women in Engineering Day at Niftylift
Seven female Year 9 Design Technology students were inspired by their visit to Niftylift to take part in a ‘Women in Engineering Event’. The event offered students an opportunity to learn about the different career paths available within the field of engineering and the work undertaken at Niftylift.
The event attracted students from schools across Milton Keynes and included a tour of the factory, production assembly tasks and a 28 metre ride up on a lift platform! The students also met female staff who talked about their routes into their engineering careers. Our students came away from the event feeling motivated and enthused about the experience and the role of women in engineering.
We are very grateful for our close relationship with Nifylift through which we can promote STEM subjects and careers with our students. Thank you to Mrs Gilmour and Miss Keen who accompanied the students.
Our Women in Engineering team members were:
Isla Durrant, Aary Angel Elandearan, Tia Lakhwani, Emily Miller, Summer Moore, Karolina Mordon, Akshita Nambiar
