National Success for Year 9 & 10 Mathematicians

Congratulations to our talented Year 9 & 10 Mathematicians who competed in UK Mathematics Trust’s (UKMT) Intermediate Maths Challenge, achieving four Gold, 20 Silver and 26 Bronze medals. The UKMT Maths Intermediate Challenge is open to students across the country, testing them on their mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and skill in using mathematical techniques. 

Four students achieved Gold medals – Aarathana Vijayakumar (Best in Year 9), Goncalo Velosa, Meera Batakurki (Best in Year 10) and Sabeshan Sukunthan.

Aarathana, Goncalo and Meera have also qualified for the prestigious Kangaroo Round of the Challenge where they can demonstrate their mathematical skills further. 

We are very proud of all 84 Year 9 and 10 Mathematicians who took part and good luck to Aarathana, Goncalo and Meera in the next round of the Challenge.
