Geography Students ‘Explore’ Town Planning
Two of our A-Level Geography students, Sanjay and Caitlin spent a week at the MK City Council Town Planning Department, as part of the Royal Town Planning Institute’s ‘Explore Programme’. They worked in several departments within the Council and created a proposal for the new MK University site which they then presented.
Our students met with several members of the MK Council Team responsible for Town Planning, who were very impressed by their professionalism, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
Miss Griffiths, Head of Geography, had the opportunity to go to the Council to see their final presentation along with several members of the Council.
Sanjay and Caitlin were wonderful representatives of the Denbigh School community, and we are proud of their presentation and their contribution and hard work throughout the week.
We are hoping that more of our students will get the opportunity to undertake visits such as these to MK Council.
