School community comes together to celebrate Eid
Our school community came together to celebrate Eid and the end of Ramadan with a street party organised by Mr Hussain and the Sixth Form Eid Committee. Over 80 staff members, governors, parents and Sixth Form students joined us for an evening of celebration and delicious food provided by local vendor, Saf’s Kitchen. The decorations and the music in the Street created a wonderful atmosphere.
We were joined by Imam Mohsin from the Central Mosque in Milton Keynes who gave a speech on the importance of community. Akhtar Jan, our Chair of Governors attended the party and said: ‘Thank you to Mr Hussain and the Sixth Form Eid Committee for this fantastic celebration. The event was so well organised, the decorations were wonderful, the food was delicious and there was an amazing atmosphere. It was such a well-deserved treat after a month of fasting. Thank you to Dr Frame for supporting this event, I was immensely proud of the Denbigh community. Oh, and a big thank you for the party bag!’
