Sixth Form Open Evening a Huge Success
Our Sixth Form Open Evening held on 19th January was a huge success. We were delighted to be able to hold the event in person with Covid precautionary measures in place to keep everyone safe. The Evening gave Year 11 students from Denbigh and from right across Milton Keynes the opportunity to view our fantastic Sixth Form facilities and to talk to teachers about the aspirations they have for their education post-16.
We were very grateful to the 100 current Sixth Formers who came back to school in the evening to act as tour guides and faculty helpers and to all our staff who put so much effort into showing our Sixth Form off at its best.
Mr Gannaway, the Director of Post 16 Education said: ‘After the disappointment of having to postpone the original evening in November because of concerns over Covid, it was wonderful to be able to host an in-person event with all the necessary covid safety measures in place. The atmosphere in-school on the evening was vibrant and positive and it was a pleasure for me to see how proud our students and staff were to show off our wonderful Sixth Form’.
The presentation from Dr Frame, our Head of School and Mr Gannaway is still available to view on our Open Evening microsite along with our Sixth Form Prospectus, information about entry requirements, a virtual tour of the school, as well as a host of other information.
