Students walk the Yorkshire Dales for DofE Gold Award

27 Year 13 students braved cold and wet conditions in the Yorkshire Dales to complete their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Assessment Expedition during half term.  They travelled to the Ribble Valley and spent four days walking, camping each night.  In all they covered approximately 50 miles over very challenging terrain. The students coped brilliantly with spirits remaining high even when they found ice on their tents in the morning and when they were walking through torrential rain all day!  Well done to them all.

Our thanks go to Mr Stott, Mr List, Mrs Herring and Miss Pretorious who accompanied the students on the expedition.
