Winners of Nifty RC Challenge
Our team of Year 9 students are the winners of the Nifty RC Challenge, a competition organised by Niftylift which challenged students from across Milton Keynes to build and code a remote-controlled scale model.
Our Team has been preparing for the RC Challenge for three months, attending a club every week with Mrs Gilmour to build, wire and code their remote-controlled model. The Team spent time making adaptations to ensure that it could withstand the weight testing and obstacle courses which were part of the Challenge Day. They also produced a portfolio of all their work and research which they presented as a team to the panel of judges.
Mrs Gilmour from our DT Faculty who supported the Team said: ‘To come out as winners of the RC Challenge was a reward for all hard work and dedication of our Team. The boys were an absolute credit to the school, demonstrating confidence and excellent communication skills during the Challenge Day. They received many compliments from the Niftylift team, the panel of judges and Lauren Layfield a CBBC Presenter who interviewed them. We are proud of them all.’
Our Nifty RC Challenge winning team are – Joshua Gannon, Logan Graham, Thomas Hogg Harry Irwin, & Dhillan Mistry.
