Yashasvi Yellapragada is named Bucks Top Archer
Year 9 student, Yashasvi Yellapragada, has been named Buckinghamshire’s ‘Archer of the Year’ for 2022 for her achievements in the competitive world of Archery, which have seen her secure a place on Archery GB’s National Talent Development Programme.
In 2022, Yashasvi has taken part in 18 regional tournaments across the country through her club the Shenley Archers, winning six gold and three silver medals and setting eight county records along the way. She has also won Archery GB’s prestigious Black Rose Award. Yashasvi also became one of the youngest archers ever to represent Buckinghamshire County, representing them at the prestigious ‘Tri-County Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire & Northampton Shoot Out’.
Dr Frame said: ‘Yashasvi is a talented sportswoman as well as being a very committed student. We are so proud of her success, and we will continue to do all we can as a school community to support her in achieving her dreams of sporting success while maintaining her academic studies.’
