Year 12 students look to their future
Year 12 students spent last Friday experiencing a range of options open to them when they complete their Post-16 education. Our ‘Futures Day’ event is an important opportunity for these students who will take their A Levels next year, to find out more about apprenticeship schemes and Higher Education, as well as receiving general careers advice.
We were delighted that 20 former students came back to school to join the event and talk to current Year 12s about the path they have taken since leaving Denbigh and the lessons they have learnt. We also welcomed our friends from Milton Keynes College to discuss apprenticeship options.
Mr Gannaway, the Director of Post 16 Education said: ‘Futures Day is a fantastic event which allows our Year 12 students to really focus on their future. It was wonderful to welcome back so many former students who shared their experiences since they left Denbigh with us. This was really inspiring and helpful to our current Year 12 students who have some big decisions to make over the coming year.’
