Year 9 Boys Football Team are League Champions

Congratulations to our Year 9 Boys Football Team who won the MK Schools Football League.  The final, against Hazeley, was the longest game we’ve ever played!  We started the game last month, only for it to be abandoned at half time due to torrential rain with us winning 1-0.  After many weeks of trying to find another date, we finally managed to get the second half played five weeks after we started.  In the second half, Hazeley equalised to take the match to extra time.  However, with five minutes to go in extra time we scored and held out until the final whistle to win 2 – 1.  Our goal scorers were Freddie Calandro and Goel Kabeya and the ‘Man of the Match’ was Alexander Gilbert, our goalkeeper who made many fantastic saves.  Well done to all the boys – we are proud of them all.
