Year 9 Girls are MK Football Champions
Congratulations to our Year 9 Girls Football Team who are MK Schools Champions after a series of outstanding displays in the recent City Tournament. Our team won every game in the preliminary rounds to finish top of their group and then faced Stantonbury in the semi-final. The girls won the semi-final 3-2, and then faced Ousedale in the final. The whole team raised their performance to a new level in the final, playing intelligent and fast paced football with some excellent individual performances and goals. They won the final 6-0 to take the MK title.
Miss South, who coaches the team said: ‘The girls’ attitude, application, and performance in every game throughout the tournament was commendable. They did themselves and our school proud. Well done to the whole squad who were: Tilly Allen, Rebecca Chalmers, Isla Durrant, Grace McCormack, Isla Featherstone, Niamh Morris, Kacey Turton & Sophie Venables.’
