Year 9 talk Careers on Enrichment Day
Year 9 students focused on careers during our Autumn Term Enrichment Day with sessions led by organisations from across the employment sector, including Red Bull, the Army and DiscoverChemEng.
These careers sessions are an integral part of our Enrichment Day programme when students come off timetable for one day every term to learn about aspects of life and community beyond the traditional curriculum. For Years 7 to 10 this will involve either joining a trip to a national visitor attraction or participating in sessions in-school focused on developing key life skills, led by external experts. Year 11 and Year 13 students take part in focused preparation sessions for their forthcoming GCSEs and A Levels.
Mr Steed, Headteacher said ‘We are very grateful to the organisations who came into school to lead engaging sessions for our students which allowed them to take time away from their studies to focus on their future career options.’
