Sixth Form Community comes together for Iftar

Our school community enjoyed a wonderful evening together at our Iftar event celebrating togetherness and belonging. Approximately 100 staff members, parents, sixth formers, governors and representatives of the Trust came together for the evening with delicious food provided by local vendors, Saf’s Kitchen & Cheeky Cheesecakes.
We were joined by Imam Mohsin from The MK Islamic Centre in Coffee Hall who talked about the significance of Ramadan and introduced Imam Bilal to perform a Nasheed (Islamic Poetry and the Call to Prayer). Our Headteacher, Mr Steed, also shared his thoughts with us. We then joined together for Iftar Prayers before enjoying a delicious three course meal. The event was supported financially by the Denbigh Association helping to make the event affordable for all.
Mr Hussain who organised the event with the Sixth Form Iftar Committee said: ‘This was a truly special occasion that celebrated the spirit of togetherness and belonging we have as a school community. We are very grateful to our Sixth Form Iftar Committee who put so much time and effort into hosting this community event. Thank you to Iman Moshin and Imam Bilal for their words and to local vendors Saf’s Kitchen & Cheeky Cheesecakes for the delicious food.’
