Year 7 Open Evening Showcases the best of Denbigh
Our recent Year 7 Open Evening for September 2027 starters showcased everything that makes Denbigh School such a special place to learn and grow. More than 1,000 prospective students and their families visited us to experience our vibrant, supportive learning community and discover the wide range of opportunities available to our students.
Visitors attended one of three Headteacher presentations delivered by Mr Steed, all of which saw the Meeting Hall filled to capacity. Families also enjoyed guided tours led by current students and explored the information stands along the Street, where they learned more about the exceptional opportunities, experiences and support available at Denbigh.
We are extremely grateful to the hundreds of students who volunteered their time to return to school and support the event as guides and faculty ambassadors. Their enthusiasm and willingness to share their experiences gave visitors a genuine insight into life at Denbigh. Particular congratulations go to Year 7 students Shwetha and Clyden, who spoke with confidence and maturity during the Headteacher presentations, helping to bring the student experience to life.
A huge thank you also goes to our dedicated staff, whose hard work, professionalism and commitment ensured the evening ran seamlessly.
Mr Steed, Headteacher, said: ‘There was a tremendous sense of pride and energy throughout the evening, and it was wonderful to welcome so many families, governors and members of our wider community into school. Our students were exceptional ambassadors for Denbigh, demonstrating confidence, enthusiasm and maturity at every turn. Events like this highlight the strength of our school community and the opportunities we provide for young people to thrive. I would encourage families to take a look at the prospectus, available on our website 2027 Prospectus – Denbigh School – Milton Keynes, to find out more about what makes Denbigh such a special place to learn and succeed.’
