The Denbigh Association is the School’s Parent-Teacher association. You automatically become a member of the Association when your son/daughter joins Denbigh School. The Denbigh Association enjoys the active support of parents, teachers, governors and friends of the School.
Denbigh Association fund-raising has made a significant contribution to the provision of many resources now in daily use within the School, including table-tennis tables, new football goals, a library refurbishment and student lockers. Fundraising events include our Christmas Events, quiz nights and bingo nights.
The Denbigh Association provides one of the best means by which parents can actively support the work of teachers in their aim to provide an excellent education for all the students at Denbigh. If you would like to participate in the work of the Association and/or attend meetings please contact: Mr Burgess, Assistant Headteacher on burgessj@denbigh.net.
The Association usually meets eight times a year, on the first Monday of the month during term time. A schedule setting out Denbigh Association diary dates is emailed to all parents in September. The Association is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, parents, and staff members within our community. Their safeguarding policy outlines their approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Christmas Celebration Events are fabulously festive
Our Celebration of Christmas events were fabulously festive and marked the start of the countdown to Christmas at Denbigh. There were two events with students having the chance to visit the festive stalls during the school day and then we opened the celebrations to families in the evening for a sellout event.
Our tutor groups spent weeks creating a fantastic range of stalls with festive fun, games and treats for all. These included bake sales, lucky dips, mocktails, ‘pin the nose on frosty’ and ‘snowball cross bar challenge’ to name but a few! We raised over £4,000 from both events which will be shared between the Denbigh Association and our chosen school charity, Solving Kids’ Cancer UK.
The Events were also a chance to display the wonderful festive cultural baubles that students have been creating in tutor and mentor groups to celebrate their culture as part of our latest House Competition.
It was a fantastic effort by students and staff to put on these events, and we are grateful to all those who helped by running the stalls and turning the Meeting Hall into a Christmas winter wonderland!

Charity Cheque Presentation to Solving Kids’ Cancer UK
We were delighted to welcome Jen Petney from our chosen school charity, Solving Kids’ Cancer UK, to receive a cheque for £2,173.25 representing the total raised by our school community so far this year. We were also joined by representatives from the Denbigh Association, whose continued support plays a vital role in our fundraising efforts.

As well as receiving the cheque, Jen also visited our Charity Day bake sale which has since added £146.90 to the running total this year. £2,000 of the total raised so far was from our Christmas Celebration event—traditionally our biggest fundraiser of the year. Alongside the fantastic efforts of tutor group stalls, our much‑loved Christmas raffle added a significant amount thanks to the generosity of local organisations who donated prizes. We are incredibly grateful to all those who donated and helped make this year’s raffle a great success. They were:
Big Rock Climbing, Bletchley Park, Bucks County Show, Bucks Star Beer, John Lewis, MK Dons, Tesco, The Playful Pottery Team, Vertigo VR, Warbler on the Wharf, Woburn Safari Park
As a school community we will continue to fundraise for this wonderful charity who do so much to support children with cancer and their families.
