Lohitare said about her appointment ‘I am truly honoured and grateful to have been elected as a Member of the Youth Parliament.  This opportunity is more than just a position to me; it’s a reminder that the voices of young people matter and that young people are capable of being a force for positive change.  This role isn’t only about speaking up, but about listening, learning, and leading with integrity. I am committed to advocating for the issues that affect young people today and ensuring that our perspectives are heard and respected in decision-making spaces.  I look forward to working alongside other passionate youth representatives to build a more forward-thinking society.’
