Pragiya, Y10 wins first ever ArtMaster title

The results are in for our inaugural ArtMaster Challenge with winners from Year 7 to 10 showcasing their artistic vision and talent and earning valuable House points.  50 of our young artists took part in the Challenge on 2 July in the Art rooms, when they were given two hours to create a work of art. 

Their artwork was then displayed, and we asked students, parents & staff to vote for their favourite.  Nearly 500 votes were cast which was amazing and our year group winners and runners-up were declared from those votes.  Our Art Faculty Team then selected the artwork from Pragiya Balamurugan, pictured below, as the overall winner, making her our first ever ArtMaster.

Mr Jackson, Head of Art said: ‘It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm created by our first ever ArtMaster Challenge and the artistic talent on display.  We asked our young artists to bring their talent and vision to create one masterpiece and one ArtMaster and they did not let us down!  Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who took the time to vote.’
