Holocaust & Genocide Educator talks to Year 9

‘Bridging Generations’ was this year’s theme of the talk to Year 9 by Paul Salver BEM, an Outreach Educator from the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET).  Mr Salver talked about how the HET wants to ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust are not lost as the number of Holocaust survivors still alive, falls.

Mr Salver’s talk was as powerful as always for both students and staff and they took away the message that we can bring together all social, cultural and racial groups to stand against racism and intolerance through knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust and other genocides.

We are very fortunate to have one of the HET’s finest facilitators visit our school every year to talk to Year 9 students.  Mr Salver was recently awarded the British Empire Medal for all the work he does locally and nationally for the HET.
