Inspiring insights into Gothic Literature for Year 12 at Chrysalis Theatre
During February half term, five of our Year 12 English Literature students along with Mrs Brawn and Mrs Booth attended a talk given by Dr Joan Passey at the Chrysalis Theatre in MK. Dr Passey is a professor of English Literature at Bristol University and specialises in gothic, horror, and folklore in literature and culture. The talk was entitled ‘Gothic Literature and Women: The female history of horror’ and was linked to our study of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. It was an excellent, informative talk which both the students and staff enjoyed.
