Brunel celebrates Sports Week win

Brunel took the Sports Week title after a fantastic two weeks of sporting competition with hundreds of students competing and representing their House superbly.   Due to the hot weather we had to spread the events over two weeks this year.  First up were the team events with students competing for House points in Dodgeball, Badminton, Benchball, Football, Rounders, Handball and Table Tennis.   The whole school then came together last Friday for the Athletics events, either competing in field or track or supporting competitors representing their House. 

Congratulations to Brunel who took this year’s overall Sports Week title in a close and keenly contested battle.

Mr Linbourne, Head of PE said: ‘What a fantastic two weeks of sporting competition we’ve had.  Thank you to the students and staff who showed flexibility and determination to work around the heatwave conditions to ensure that Sports Week events could still go ahead.  There was so much sporting talent on show as always and the students represented their Houses with pride.  It is a pleasure to watch our students demonstrating skill and athleticism and most importantly having fun!’
