A welcome from Mr Steed our new Headteacher
Mr Anthony Steed is Denbigh’s new Headteacher, taking over from Dr Frame following her retirement this summer. As Mr Steed started his new role, he introduced himself and sent a warm welcome to the whole Denbigh School learning community.
He said: ‘My name is Mr Anthony Steed, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Denbigh School. It is both an honour and a privilege to lead this vibrant and dynamic community, and I am eager to begin working together to ensure that our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Having joined the school back in September 2004 as a newly qualified teacher, it is with an immense sense of pride that I begin my new role, leading a school at the heart of a community that I have known for 20 years. I have always believed that school should be a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can succeed.
I also believe that a great education is the key to unlocking aspiration and opportunity and am committed to maintaining the high standards of excellence that Denbigh School has become known for, while also bringing new ideas and perspectives to help us grow even further. In the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting many of you in person. I am particularly interested in hearing your thoughts and ideas about how we can work together to support our students and staff in the best possible way.
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with questions, concerns, or suggestions. I will continue to communicate with parents via the weekly Headteacher Bulletin. There was also be a half-termly Headteacher & Deputy Headteacher drop-in for parents, with details and dates to be published shortly. Thank you for the warm welcome and kind messages that I have already received. I am excited about the journey ahead and the opportunities it brings for all of us’.
