100% Distinction pass rate in LAMDA Exams
The results are in and all 13 students who took the Spring Term LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) Acting examination achieved a Distinction, meaning that they all achieved 80% and over in their exam. A truly fantastic achievement!
LAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding bodies and these examinations encourage learners to develop a range of transferable skills—such as communication, confidence, and collaboration—that are valuable in both academic and professional contexts. There is a graded examination scale, and students work their way up through the grades. This is the first year our students have taken Grade 6 exams through which they can achieve UCAS points which contribute towards the entry requirements for University or Further Education. All our Grade 6 students will be awarded 12 UCAS points because of the Distinction grade they received.
Mrs Brunings who supported the students in their preparation for the exams said: ‘We are so proud to see our students achieve such fantastic results whilst balancing regular studies, extra-curricular commitments, and day-to-day school life. This kind of success doesn’t come easily, it’s the result of preparation, resilience, and a genuine love of performing.’
