Game on for Games Night!
Our first ever House Games Night was full of friendly competition, fun and teamwork! The exciting ‘House of Games’ style evening was led by the Denbigh Association who were selling drinks and snacks to raise funds and our Houses who came up with fun challenges & games with students competing for a range of prizes.
Each House came up with a fun challenge. Brunel’s competition was called ‘Cornhole’, and Curie’s was called ‘Jeopardy’. Newton put on a ‘Bottle Flip Challenge’ and Darwin staged a ‘Can Throw’. Stephenson completed the set with a game of ‘Charades’.
Congratulations to the winning team on the night who were ‘Team Commaunists’ with members – Angelo (Year 7), Chantel (Year 8), Conrad (Year 7), Daisy (Year 8), Joseph (Year 7), Louis (Year 7), Martin (Year 7) & Oumie-Rose (Year 7).
The rankings for House participation on the night were:
First: Brunel
Second: Darwin & Newton
Third: Curie & Stephenson
The evening raised over £100 for our School charity – Solving Kids’ Cancer UK and the Denbigh Association and every student who took part earned five achievement points. A special thank you goes to our House Presidents who ran the games on the evening and helped put on a fantastic event that let our students enjoy a fun and competitive evening with their friends.
