Pride Event celebrates belonging at Denbigh

Last month, we celebrated our second annual Pride event. The event was warm, intimate and joyful, and brilliantly led by our MC, Eliott from Year 12.

A choir of staff and students were led by our VIP guest Lizzie Deane, a vocalist, vocal arranger and choir leader and there were speeches from guests, including the Mayor of Milton Keynes and representatives from ‘Under The Umbrella’, a local community organisation who support LGBTQ+ young people in and around Milton Keynes. There were moving testimonies to the importance of visibility and allyship.  Our Pride event reflects our core value of ensuring that everyone knows that they belong at Denbigh School.
