Year 11 Look to the Future
Our Year 11 students recently stepped away from their usual timetable to take part in an engaging and informative Futures Day, designed to give them a taste of Sixth Form life while exploring the wide range of opportunities available after GCSEs.

Throughout the day, students attended a variety of A Level and vocational lessons, giving them valuable insight into post-16 study and helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways. The experience encouraged students to explore subjects they enjoy, understand the expectations of further study, and consider how their choices can support their long-term ambitions.

In addition to sampling Sixth Form subjects, students took part in a programme of enrichment sessions delivered by a range of external partners. Representatives from Barclays led an Apprenticeships and Finance Workshop, while Matrix provided practical guidance through a CV and Interview Skills Workshop. Students also learned more about alternative post-16 options through presentations from MK College and Moulton College, as well as gaining an impartial perspective on Higher Education through UniCompare’s What is University? seminar.

The day provided students with valuable careers advice, practical employability skills and real-world insights, helping them to feel more informed, confident and prepared as they begin to plan for life beyond Year 11.
