Denbigh wins Secondary School of the Year at MK Education Awards

We are delighted to have won the prestigious Secondary School of the Year Award at the MK Education Awards for the second time in three years.  This award recognises that we go beyond academic achievement to foster creativity, personal growth and make a positive, lasting impact on our students and community and we are very proud to be winners once again.

On a night of celebration for Denbigh, we also secured the Wellbeing Award for promoting a healthy, supportive environment and nurturing physical, mental and emotional wellbeing across the whole school community.

There was success in the individual awards as well with Mr Stott from our DT Faculty winning the Unsung Hero Award in recognition of his dedication and commitment to providing opportunity for Denbigh students over many years, through the Duke of Edinburgh and World Challenge programmes.

A special mention also goes to Mrs Rowe from our Humanities Faculty who was nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award for being an inspirational History teacher and the leader of our Holocaust Education Programme.

Mr Steed, Headteacher said: ‘The MK Education Awards recognise the wealth of talented people within the MK Education sector who devote themselves to providing an outstanding learning experience for the young people of Milton Keynes.  For Denbigh to be winners in three categories including the ‘Secondary School of the Year’ award, demonstrates the depth of talent we have at our school.’
