Professional Basketballer hosts Sports Awards

Jordan Spencer, who plays for the MK Breakers Basketball Team was the special guest at our Sports Awards Ceremony.  Jordan handed out awards to our students and took part in a lively Q&A session when our students asked questions about his successful career which has seen him play basketball in the UK, US and Germany.

The awards handed out to our students included the prestigious Full and Half Colours Awards for those who have demonstrated the highest levels of skill and commitment when representing Denbigh.  ‘Players’ Player of the Year’ Awards, PE Curriculum Awards and Football Academy awards were also given out on a night of sporting celebration. 

Mr Linbourne, Head of our PE Faculty said: ‘The Sports Awards Ceremony is always a special occasion for the PE Faculty, allowing us to recognise and celebrate the commitment, hard work and talent of our students. Their achievements make a huge contribution to Denbigh’s sporting success.  We were thrilled to have Jordan join us as our special guest, and it was fantastic for students to meet him and learn about the dedication and perseverance that helped him achieve success as a professional sportsman.’
