Celebrating Cultures, Celebrating Us!
Cultures Day saw the School filled with colour, joy and enthusiasm as students proudly celebrated their cultural heritage, creating a wonderful sense of community and belonging across the school. Cultures Day is truly one of the highlights of the School year and is a meaningful celebration of diversity, inclusion, and pride within our school community.
Students in Years 7 to 11 arrived in traditional cultural dress and brought flags representing countries from around the world. A photo booth in the Activities Studio proved very popular, allowing students to capture lasting memories of the day and celebrate one another’s cultures.
Each year group participated in a Celebration Assembly, where students shared singing, dancing, poetry and readings rooted in their cultural backgrounds. The celebrations were further enhanced by Cucina, our Caterers who prepared a special menu in the Canteen, inspired by cuisines from around the world.
Mrs Conway, our Diversity Co‑ordinator, who led the event, commented:
‘Our Year 7 to 11 Cultures Day grows every year and truly reflects the strong sense of belonging within our diverse school community. It was fantastic to be involved, and we are very grateful to the students on the School Council for their dedication and hard work in making the day such a success.’
